Beef shares are processed at a USDA-licensed facility. Processing typically takes 2–4 weeks from the processing date. We will keep you updated on the timeline once your reservation is confirmed.
Processing dates are set by availability at the facility and the animal's readiness. We will give you as much advance notice as possible before your beef is ready for pickup.

All sales are final. Due to the perishable nature of beef and the scheduling required for livestock processing, we are unable to offer refunds or cancellations once an order or reservation has been placed.
When you place a beef share reservation or order individual cuts from Finch Farms Beef, you agree that the sale is final and non-refundable. This applies to:
Once a share reservation is received and a processing date is assigned to your animal, the order cannot be cancelled. The animal is scheduled for harvest and processing specifically for your order.
This is standard practice for direct beef sales. When you reserve a share, a specific animal is committed to your order. We cannot "un-schedule" processing after the commitment is made, and we cannot resell a share on short notice to recoup losses.
Beef is a perishable, time-sensitive product. We take food safety seriously, and once beef leaves the processor, it cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.
We are not a faceless corporation. If something unusual happens — an error on our end, a documented quality issue, or a circumstance we couldn't have anticipated — we will work with you directly and in good faith.
If you believe there is a legitimate issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review every situation on its own merits.
Please note: change of mind, freezer issues, or failure to arrange pickup by the agreed date do not qualify for refunds.
We encourage every customer to ask questions before placing an order. If you're uncertain about share size, freezer space, cut preferences, timing, or anything else — reach out first. We'd much rather answer questions upfront than have a dissatisfied customer.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank for a valid order is a violation of these terms. We will provide documentation of your order and our policy to the payment processor in response to any such dispute.
